I picked up this book expecting a quick fluff piece. How wrong I was !
Derek leads us through his founding and floundering through the creation of CD Baby. A company he built from his bedroom to employ 85 people and finally sell for $ 22 M.
More importantly is the information gleened from an entrepreneur who did NOT want to build a bigger business. Wonderful insights to service based, not monetary drive business model.
It is a quick read, only about an hour. One of the best breathes of fresh air I have experienced in a couple of years. Thoughts for service, for growth, for thinking outside the box. I will utilize the ideas for many years to come.
Not taught at our schools of higher learning, a great counter-balance. Enjoy the read !
